A Little Halifax-Blogging

This is a new feature for Crossword Bebop, and a way to return some of the love shown to Crossword Bebop. In December 2009, more visits came from Halifax, Nova Scotia than from any other city.

For the geographically challenged, Nova Scotia is one of Canada’s 10 provinces. It is one of the provinces on the east coast of Canada. Halifax is the capital city of Nova Scotia, with a population of about 120,000.

Here are some pictures of Halifax…

The first picture is looking toward Citadel Hill, behind the harbor; the second picture is looking from Citadel Hill, toward the harbor.

Aerial view of Halifax

This picture shows the harbor on the right, and Citadel Hill on the left.

What’s there to see in Halifax? There are Teodore Tugboat tours of the harbor. There is Pier 21, which I grasp is the Ellis Island of Canada. And if you are in the mood to contemplate man’s hubris, 150 of the victims of the sinking of the Titanic are buried in Halifax.

I’ve never been to Halifax, but I would very much like to visit someday. Thanks for the love, Halifax! Right back atcha!

The plan is to do one post like this per month.
